Zesty, bubbly, and slightly herbal—this Paloma is like summer in a glass. I made it on National Paloma Day, and it instantly felt celebratory.

Ingredients
2 oz grapefruit juice
1 oz tequila (or soda for mocktail)
½ oz lime juice
½ oz agave syrup
Soda water
Salt rim (optional)
Ice
Instructions
Step 1
Shake grapefruit, tequila, lime, and agave with ice.
Step 2
Strain into glass over ice.
Step 3
Top with soda water and stir.
Step 4
Garnish with grapefruit wedge.
Tips
Zero-proof: skip tequila or use soda
Add basil or rosemary
Use blood orange in winter
Pair with tacos or chips & guac
