I made this after one of those “just one errand” days that turns into five. You come home, kick off your boots, and all you want is something warming, not heavy. This is my go-to for those quiet little moments during the season where you're just trying to catch your breath.

Ingredients

  •  2 oz cranberry juice

  •  1 oz orange juice

  •  ½ tsp grated fresh ginger or ginger syrup

  •  Pinch ground cloves or cinnamon

  •  Sparkling water (optional) or serve warm

  • Ice (optional) or serve warm

Instructions

Step 1

Stir cranberry, orange, and ginger together in a pan.


Step 2

Warm gently (don’t boil) with spices.


Step 3

Pour into a mug or serve chilled over ice.


Step 4

Garnish with an orange peel or cranberries.


Tips

  • Add red wine for a traditional mulled feel.

  • Sub ginger with chai tea concentrate for depth.

  • Pairs beautifully with biscotti or shortbread.

  • Keeps well — double it for sipping all afternoon.
