Golden Hour Glow

Perfect for winding down after a long day, with warm lighting and your favorite slow playlist

About the Recipe

Some evenings need something soft and warming — but not heavy. Golden Hour Glow is mellow, cozy, and naturally calming. I made this one evening while doing nothing in particular — just watching the sunset stretch across my kitchen — and it reminded me that rest is productive.

Ingredients

  • 1½ oz fresh orange juice

  • 1 oz chamomile tea (brewed strong and cooled)

  • ½ oz honey syrup (1:1 honey + warm water)

  • ½ oz lemon juice

  • Tiny pinch of turmeric (or use golden milk powder)

  • Ice

Instructions

Step 1

Brew the chamomile and let it cool slightly.

Step 2

Shake everything together with ice until lightly frothy.

Step 3

Strain into a chilled glass or pour over fresh ice.

Tips

  • Zero-proof by design — you don’t need alcohol to glow.

  • Optional spirit: Add a splash of bourbon for a slow-sipping night.

  • Turmeric too bold? Skip it or sub with a thin slice of fresh ginger.

  • Pair with: A candlelit bath, soft socks, and a “do not disturb” phone setting.

Serving Tips

Glass: Coupe or stemless wine glass

Garnish: Orange peel twist or a tiny edible flower

Vibe: Gratitude journaling, low-fi beats, fully exhaling
