About the Recipe
After a homemade dinner of Thai curry and rice, I still had ginger syrup on the stove. I cooled it down, added some sake and citrus, and the result was smooth heat with a bright finish. A golden-hour kind of drink.

Ingredients
½ oz ginger syrup (or muddled ginger + honey)
½ oz lime juice
2 oz chilled sake
Soda water
Ice
Instructions
Step 1
Mix ginger syrup with lime juice in a shaker.
Step 2
Add sake and ice, shake gently.
Step 3
Strain into glass over ice.
Step 4
Top with soda and garnish.
Tips
Use a dash of chili or black pepper for extra heat
Dry sake keeps it light; nigori adds body
Pairs well with spicy food or roasted peanuts

Garnish: Candied ginger or chili slice
Vibe: Late sun, lively flavors, relaxed conversations
