Femme & Tonic

Perfect for slow chats that turn deep, with music playing low and blankets everywhere

About the Recipe

Femme & Tonic is the cozy cousin of a G\&T — botanical, citrusy, and just a bit sultry. It’s what I make when we’re all curled up on the floor with snacks and someone says, “Okay, but like... do you think soulmates are real?” It's pretty, easy, and feels grown but still comforting.

Ingredients

  • 1½ oz gin (or Seedlip Garden or cucumber juice for mocktail)

  • ½ oz lime juice

  • ½ oz lavender or elderflower syrup

  • 2–3 oz tonic water

  • Cucumber ribbon or mint sprig

  • Ice

Instructions

Step 1

Shake gin, lime, and syrup with ice.

Step 2

Pour into a glass with fresh ice.

Step 3

Top with tonic and stir gently.

Tips

  • Zero-proof: Use Seedlip or cucumber juice + tonic — it still hits that herbal note.

  • Flavor twist: Sub the lavender syrup for basil syrup or rosemary honey.

  • Pair with: Deep convos, acoustic playlists, or painting nails on the couch.

  • Elevate it: Freeze edible flowers into your ice cubes.

Serving Tips

Glass: Lowball or crystal tumbler

Garnish: Mint sprig, cucumber ribbon, or a lavender stalk

Vibe: Lights dimmed, soft socks on, Spotify on “chill girl energy” mode
